The new theater season begins on 5th of October with premiere of the drama play by Ivo Brešan titled “Svečana večer u pogrebnom preduzeću ('Gala dinner at the funeral home' tr.)

Croatian National Theatre Split  announced premieres

Five drama plays, two operas and one ballet premiere will be performed in new theater season on stage of Croatian National Theatre Split, as announced yesterday from the theater. The new theater season begins on 5th of October with premiere of the drama play by Ivo Brešan titled “Svečana večer u pogrebnom preduzeću ('Gala dinner at the funeral home' tr.).  

Other drama plays to be performed are William Shakespeare’s "Romeo and Juliet “directed by Nenni Delmestre, Edward Albee’s 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" directed by Vlatka Vorkapić, Davor Špišić’s ' Kaćuše ' directed by Marica Grgurinović and Kafka’s ' The Metamorphosis' directed by Ivan Plazibat, as published on the CNT website . 
The new season will include opera premiere Johann Strauss’s "Bat" conucted by Nada Matošević and directed by Ozren Prohić and Verdi’s 'I vespi Siciliani ", conducted by Ivo Lipanović and directed by Peter Selem. 
The repertoire includes also ballet premiere 'Sleeping Beauty' by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, a conductor is Hari Zlodre. 
Except for Bresan’s 'Dinner', which begins the season, the dates of the other performances are not listed.
